The first pipebytes.com anniversary is approaching and we have been struggling with questions about the site future. We certainly see it being a very useful tool, used by many people. We have invented and patented a unique file transfer technology. We have built a reliable and scalable service. We have developed and tested a business model which shows how this service could earn a substantial revenues. So, why are we selling it? It turns out we are not very good in promoting and marketing the site. All of us come from engineering background and selling is not our strongest skill.
We were trying to raise money and build a team which will help us to grow the site. This did not work either. We have experience working with VCs and some of us have raised money before. The problem is that pipebytes falls into this category where investment required is too big for angels (it is above $100K) and yet too small for institutional VCs (they are not interested investing into company with potential valuation of $10M, they want to invest into next Google). [these numbers are for US, if you reside in other country, they situation may be more favorable]
Why somebody would buy it? We think that pipebytes could be a unique business opportunity for a savvy tech entrepreneur with good marketing skills. You do not need to concern yourself with technology - the product is already built. You do not need to question yourself if people would use it - we have proven they would! We even proven they would gladly play the reasonable price for service like this. All you need to do is bring more exposure, let your revenue grow. At some point if you want to add more features - we already thought of it and have a list of various feature ideas already prepared for you.
So, if you are interested in buying pipebytes, please take a look at the sale summary, and contact us with your offer.

It doesn't seem to work at all anymore :( very sad! If you can't sell it you guys should make it available for the public ;)
I echo the above comments - good luck on the sale! Not sure how successful that will be if the tool isn't working. They managed to still take my money though - just not provide the service. :(
